Prototype of the Tesla Cybertruck has New Steel Wheels

In an effort to keep track of changes made to the beta prototypes before the start of production, a Tesla Cybertruck prototype has just been sighted with new steel wheels.

Tesla has created a series of beta Cybertruck prototypes, as we previously reported, to test before the production begins this summer.

We started seeing those Cybertruck prototypes in California during the past few months.

Each moment we see a prototype model, we try to find any brand-new design elements that might make it into the final product, like a redesigned front end, the monster wiper making a comeback recently, or the jacked-up air suspension seen a few weeks ago.

Recently, a fresh Tesla Cybertruck prototype with numerous measurement sensors was sighted at the Fremont factory.

The measurement tools are probably utilised as part of the chassis inspection before manufacturing begins.

The car also has steel wheels that have never been used before.

According to the maker Kistler, the wheel appears to have Wheel Force Transducers, a multi-axial accuracy measuring device that records three moments and forces on a revolving wheel:

Wheel force transducers are made to be used in the research and testing of full chassis and chassis parts for a variety of vehicles, including passenger cars, SUVs, commercial vehicles, race cars, and industrial vehicles. In order to measure the forces and moments operating on the tyre contact patch, a conventional wheel is swapped out for a wheel force transducer.

Although the start of production is only a few months away, Tesla is stepping up trials of the electric pickup truck.

While Tesla recently stated that it plans to start producing the Cybertruck this summer, significant deliveries shouldn’t be anticipated until 2024, when the carmaker will transition to volume production.
