Amazon India and TVS Motor collaborated to boost electric mobility

Reportedly, one of the great news coming is that Amazon India and TVS Motor Company have jointly associated in order to boost mobility in the country. The same was revealed by the companies in a joint statement on Wednesday. Now, as a part of an association or merger, a fleet of electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers from TVS Motor will be deployed for Amazon’s last-stage deliveries of the vehicle.

Therefore, the two companies work together in order to examine EV use cases for multiple Amazon business groups for its operating network and logistic requirements.

Further, to test solutions, the companies will pilot TVS Motors’ electric vehicle solutions. This achieves through partner bases and delivery associates across the nation.

Now, as a part of the merger of the two companies. TVS Motor is all set with their EV for B2B along with an ecosystem of connected service and alternate ownership.

“We are happy to collaborate with Amazon India, which marks a big milestone in our journey and contribute to our joint goals of electrifying their mobility services,” TVS Motor Company Future Mobility Senior Vice President Manu Saxena said.

Additionally, Amazon India Director-Customer Fulfilment, Supply Chain, and Global Specialty Fulfilment, Abhinav Singh. He said the collaboration/association streak additional decisive step for the company to achieve its goal. In order to become net-zero carbon by 2040 respectively.

“Electric mobility is a significant component of our business operations and we are resolute in our commitment to transforming our transportation network to serve our customers more sustainably,” he added.

Also, this collaboration will further strengthen Amazon India’s delivery network. By adding electric two and three-wheelers to the existing fleet portfolio, Singh added.

“This will support our supply chain in minimizing the environmental impact of our operations and contribute to Amazon India’s goal of inducting 10,000 EVs into our fleet by 2025,” he added.
