Tesla reduces wait times for its Model 3 and Y

Tesla EV is the most preferred electric vehicle. Elon Musk’s company is working really hard to full fill the pre-orders requirement for China consumers. Now, according to the latest information, as Tesla’s factory in Shanghai is looking to complete its task somehow soon, the great news for all the Model 3 and Model Y pre-order owners is the company is now reducing the delivery time for these two models.

This information is officially confirmed and cut the delivery for Model 3 and Model Y cars which is the only cars landing in China as of now. A new report claimed that the expected delivery cycle of the entry-level Model 3 was previously 6-10 weeks and now it’s 1-8 weeks.

The rear-wheel Model Y wait time, on the other hand, is just 1-4 weeks. The Long Range will be arriving within 1-10 instead of 10-14 weeks. Pricing remains unchanged as Model 3 starts at CNY 279,000 while Model Y starts at CNY 316,900.

What are the key factors of Model 3?

Tesla’s Model 3 for now comes in three separate trims: a single-motor RWD powertrain in the Standard Range Plus, and two dual-motor, AWD trims in the Long Range and Performance versions.

  • Single-motor – 50 kWh battery, 263 miles of range, top speed of 140 mph, 0-60 mph in 5.3 seconds
  • Dual motor AWD Long Range – 82 kWh battery, range 353 miles, a top speed of 145 mph, 0-60 travel time of 4.2 seconds

The Model 3 comes with seating for up to five and offers 23 cubic feet of cargo space. Currently, the Tesla Model 3 is the fastest of Tesla’s current fleet (although it remains the cheapest option).   • Extra prices for the color variants like red paint, white interior, 19-inch sport wheels, and full self-driving capabilities
  • The Long Range Model 3 starts at $50,990 which goes up to $65,490
  • The performance version of the Model 3 starts at $58,990 and the highest price goes up to $71,990

Meanwhile, in August, Musk told shareholders that the company Tesla will produce high volumes of 4680 batteries by the end of 2022.
