U.S. Politicians want to remove FSD Beta from Tesla vehicles(Action by NHTSA Tesla Autopilot)

Who doesn’t know the name, Tesla? Tesla is a company that is famous for its EVs. Recently the news goes viral when the Tesla Model Y becomes the most selling model in the world and also becomes more famous than its co-model Tesla Model 3. The main reason for the powerful goodwill of Tesla is its different features, especially its safety feature. Recently Euro NCAP gives five out of five ratings to the Tesla Models’ safety updates. And one more thing the Tesla is famous for is Autopilot mode.

Tesla is the one who discovers the autopilot mode first in their car. But some days the autopilot mode which was a powerful advantage of Tesla now became a big problem for them and the main reason for this problem is unable to work at the time of traffic and can’t able to pick the owner’s direction and that is why there are numbers of cases comes in front of us when the accident takes places. Not even this many victims asking for refunding money but Tesla has 0 response on this problem and hardly states any statement on this topic.

Recently a case comes from a German court where a California regulator claims that the CEO of Tesla Mr. Elon Musk has claimed a false advertisement about the full Self-Driving mode. And now one more case comes in which the accident occurs cause of autopilot mode. Just because of this the patience level of the people are break down and they start protesting against Tesla. According to the sources, there is an administration that was demanding to cancel the license of Tesla.

Now accept this administration there are multiple U.S politicians and regulators who are increasing pressure on NHTSA in recent days to take action against Tesla’s Autopilot and FSD Beta.

After listening to this appeal from multiple U.S politicians and regulators the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), start investing in the vehicles that are involved in the crashes and have opened 38 special investigations. According to a report, it is believed that advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) may be linked to Tesla’s Autopilot and the Full Self-Driving Beta program is affiliated.

But after so many efforts from the politicians and regulators, these ad hoc investigations haven’t had much of an impact on Tesla. Not even according to the NHTSA report most traffic accidents are caused due to a lack of driver concentration, and under the Tesla ADAS system, the driver’s need to pay attention is emphasized.

After such things, Tesla is still silent and has 0 comments till now. Last year, NHTSA announced it would investigate Tesla Autopilot after discovering 11 crashes involving emergency vehicles. NHTSA announced today that the June 2022 investigation into Tesla’s Autopilot has been upgraded to an engineering analysis (EA), meaning the next step is a recall.

Democratic U.S. Senator Gary Peters and Rep. Jan Schakowsky finally decided to send a complaint letter to NHTSA in order to ask that is their team is investing their complaints or did the latter released information about the investigation. I think this is the high time for the NHTSA to clear the whole scenario that who is actually guilty the owners of tesla or the CEO of Tesla Mr. Elon Musk. “In light of the increasing number of fatalities in Tesla vehicles hitting tractor trailers … has NHTSA considered launching a flaws investigation into this issue?” the two lawmakers asked.

Now the question arises did this time NHTSA will strict in their decisions and strike a balance between thoroughly investigating and addressing urgent, emerging risks to motor vehicle safety? Because this time the burden is now on the politicians of the U.S. According to the report there is a letter submitted by the former presidential candidate Ralph Nader in which there is clearly mentioned that the NHTSA authority should properly investigate advanced driver assistance systems.

In short, we can say that now there are hardly any chances to protect Tesla from these allegations because now the burden is high and the demand for agreeing on politicians increases day by day.

If we talk about the whole content written in the latter which is sent by the former presidential candidate Ralph Nader released an open letter calling on NHTSA to remove FSD Beta from Tesla vehicles so here is it:

“I call on federal regulators to take immediate action to prevent the ever-increasing number of casualties caused by Tesla’s use of this technology in manslaughter accidents. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has the authority to take prompt action to prevent such disasters. NHTSA has been studying Tesla and its full self-driving technology for years. NHTSA must use its safety recall authority to order the removal of FSD technology in every Tesla”.
