Apple is trying for 12 years to confirm its patent in order to launch its car in the EV market. Actually, Apple was trying to launch its car in the market for so long but due to some government issues, its patent report is not accepted. But recently a report has launched by Apple in which the company has appointed a Lamborghini executive for the EV project. In late June Apple hired a 20-year veteran who is a creator of the supercar Lamborghini in order to work on the tech company and this thing is not that secret now that if they will make the vehicle so that will be electric vehicles.
So according to the report of Bloomberg, the executive, Luigi Taraborrelli, was working on the Lamborghini company for years, and apparently, they were leading vehicle dynamics and development of chassis. Lastly, he appears to leave Lamborghini in May 2022. According to his LinkedIn profile, during his tenure at the company, Taraborrelli worked on Lamborghini’s Urus SUV, Huracan Coupé, Performante, and Aventador Coupé, among others. Not even this he also worked on limited projects such as Lamborghini Serrato.
After listening to this news, one thing is goings to be very much clear whichever car will launch by Apple in the market, that car will be so luxurious at a high cost. Apparently, Apple is committed as always that they will going to producing an electric car. Before losing their employees or running into other headwinds that threatened to derail the project Apple has finally made an authorized team for their new Signals.
Talking about the so-cold project of Apple, Titan was a car project in which the company decided to give the name called Titan. Titan project was on the pipeline for so long but due to the patent issue, they are not able to even start that project. This project has had its ups and downs since launching in 2014 due to its worst-kept secret in silicon valley by the way.
The project has been delayed again and again at one point the company reduced the staff as well but there will no chances to improve in the situation. In short, the actual position of the company is not that good actually in the case of this project. Still, it’s quite confusing to say that this time they will be able to fulfill the plan or it’s just an old agenda that is repeating from 2012.
Anyways the engineering executive who was leading the projects of Apple which were the special projects like Doug Field had also lost its fair share of talent and a team that was working on titan’s car project – was also poached by Ford in September 2021.
Apple also hired and appointed some hiring in the previous year in which they also include tapping one of its top software executives Kevin Lynch to oversee the project. I think this time Apple is fully ready for the EV project and that is the reason they also used to hire Desi Ujkashevic, a longtime Ford executive who most recently was global director of safety engineering.
In short, they are also going to focus on safety also. I don’t know what is the reason behind the delay of the plan but this time may be Apple is ready with their force and their leader to execute their plan. According to my opinion if there will any announcement of launching the car from Apple so it will be a huge Tsunami in the EV market because Apple is not only a company it is a highly anticipated brand that ruled the world.
