VW Introduces the ID.Next Concept

Yesterday, Volkswagen debuted its electric flagship, the ID.7, which features a new motor and a GTX variant was hinted at. However, the corporation went above and beyond during the recently opened Shanghai Auto Show. An entirely fresh vehicle was unveiled.

Greetings to the ID.Then came a Volkswagen that no one had ever heard of that was electric. It has already been announced that the SAIC and VW collaboration would produce it, and it is likely to change into a car that will only be sold in China. Volkswagen uses a combination of ID.7 and ID, which makes things much more perplexing. The ID.7 is not actually a sedan, but it is the next generation of electric sedans. Does that imply that the Chinese version, ID.7 Vizzion, will differ?

To the ID we return. It also seems to be shorter than the ID.7, therefore the corporation should expand its selection of electric vehicles in China as soon as possible. On the MEB platform, producing yet another, somewhat smaller EV is not problematic, and since SAIC is handling the aforementioned manufacturing, scaling up can be accomplished relatively quickly.

Beginning in July, China will implement its strictest pollution restrictions, which would make many new petrol and diesel-powered cars unmarketable and have an impact on companies like VW.

VW Introduces the ID.Next

The ID.Next can quickly replace the void left by the ID.7 and other electric vehicles that VW is currently selling in the nation. The MEB platform is adaptable enough to handle a wide range of models, and the ID.Next doesn’t seem to change significantly from the ID.7, thus work on development can be done for a lot less money. We wouldn’t be surprised if the vehicle displayed during the presentation eventually made its way to the manufacturing lines because it appears to be a nearly finished product and has a functional cabin.

Volkswagen’s joint ventures enable it to operate at maximum capacity in China. Whilst the ID.3 is produced by SAIC, the upcoming ID.7 will be made by FAW. SAIC will also produce the new ID.Next, freeing up FAW to begin production on another another electric vehicle. ID. Buzz is also travelling to China, and it appears that FAW will produce it there.
