Tesla is continuously working to enhance the user experience on its smartphone app, and they have now added another new function. Tesla is now introducing the capability to see the course the vehicle is going to its lineup of capabilities, expanding on those introduced last year.
Path of Navigation
While using GPS navigation, the main page of the app immediately shows the driver’s destination, distance, and anticipated time of arrival (ETA). Users can view a map that displays the location of the vehicle, Superchargers close by, and destination information by tapping on the navigation area. In order to give owners more insight into battery usage, the app also shows the vehicle’s anticipated level of charge upon arrival at the location. The proposed route the car should take to get there was the only thing that was missing. Certain users now have access to that when it was added to the app.
The most recent version of the Tesla app, 4.19, added a new API named “nav route.” This new feature appears to utilise this API, which at first glance seemed to be unused, to indicate the path the vehicle would take, much like the in-car navigation system.
Adding to the most recent update
The Tesla mobile app received a number of new features in October 2022, improving convenience for customers. For example, the app now displays more facts about the media being played in the car, including the song title, singer, and the location.
Energy Boosting
The manufacturer made significant updates to the Energy app in its vehicles, which shows the battery’s charge level before and after a trip as well as the primary reasons of battery drain. Tesla began adding this function to the application for earlier Model S and Model X cars, and it is hoped that it will soon be extended to other cars as well.
The software will give a thorough breakdown of how much energy is used for various functions, such as driving, battery maintenance, elevation, air conditioning, and other parts like charging electronics, onboard computers, lights, and the music system.
Users should anticipate more upgrades and improvements to the mobile app, which will offer more beneficial features and improve the overall user experience, as Tesla continues to hire more app developers.
