The electric Citroen eC3 was revealed prior to release

The all-electric eC3, Citroen’s C3 hatchback that is already available in India, has finally been unveiled, and the car’s price will be revealed in the coming days. Additionally, Citroen will export the eC3 from India, boosting its disappointingly low sales volumes.

Beginning on January 22, bookings for the Citroen eC3 will open, and it will be available in dealerships from then on.

  1. Citroen eC3 gets 29.2kWh battery pack.
  2. Has Tiago EV in its sights.
  3. Prices will be announced in the coming days.

Citroen eC3: styling details

Inside and out, the Citroen eC3 and its gasoline-powered counterpart are identical. A new charging port on the front fender and the absence of a tailpipe are the only exterior differences. In the meantime, the center console of the interior is slightly redesigned, and a new drive controller takes the place of the manual gear lever. The interior, mechanical, and exterior body panels that were previously localized for the gasoline-powered C3 remain unchanged.

This was done to make the eC3’s costs as low as possible, and sharing parts and components with the ICE version will help get better economies of scale.

Citroen eC3: powertrain, charging, and competition:

Scott, a Chinese company, supplies the 29.2 kWh battery pack for the Citroen eC3, though Citroen plans to localize it in the long run. The Citroen EV has a 3.3 kW onboard AC charger and can also use CCS2 to charge quickly. The electric motor that is mounted on the front axle of the eC3 generates 57 horsepower and 143 Nm of peak torque. The eC3 has a 320-kilometer ARAI-certified range. Regenerative braking is included, as well as eco and standard driving modes.

According to Citroen, the eC3 can go from 0 to 60 km/h in 6.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 107 km/h. It is compatible with DC Fast Charging, which allows it to charge from 0 to 80 percent in 57 minutes. The battery can be charged up to 100% on a home charger in 10.5 hours.

The Tata Tiago EV, which features a higher-spec battery pack with a 24-kWh capacity and an ARAI-rated range of 315 kilometers, is the target market for the eC3.

Citroen eC3: features and safety

The Citroen eC3, like its gasoline-powered counterpart, is available in Live and Feel models. The eC3 shares many features with the ICE model, including a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a four-speaker audio system, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat on the higher-spec Feel. The 35-feature MyCitroen Connect app adds connected car technology to the eC3. It lets you check the charging status of the car, where it is, and how to get to the closest charging station. It has ABS with EBD and dual airbags as safety features.

eC3 Citroen: specifics of the warranty
