Tata approves Tata Punch EV
For every mid-ranger SUV lover, Tata Motors has started working on the Tata Punch EV project based on the Tata Punch ICE-powered small SUV. The electric Tata Punch could become India’s first EV micro-SUV and is likely to sit alongside Tata’s Tiago EV and Tigor EV in terms of pricing.
He mentioned that the Tata Punch EV is in the ‘pipeline’, which officially confirms the product’s launch in the future. The Tata Punch EV will also likely use the high-voltage Ziptron electric powertrain that does duty in the Tata Tiago, Tata Tigor and the Tata Nexon twins. The Tata Punch EV could be priced around the Rs 10 – 13 lakh (ex-showroom) mark depending upon the powertrain options.
