Here is the brand-new electric maxi SUV from Kia – EV9

Thanks to the release of several spy photographs, Kia has revealed the look of its upcoming EV9 electric mega SUV, which we have already discussed multiple times. The company has only posted a few images of the outside and interior so far. It will be essential to wait until the official presentation of this model at the end of March to learn the technical details.

Details & Specs

A concept automobile that the company unveiled at the end of 2021 had teased the KIA EV9. The final model’s design is not drastically different from the concept, as seen in the pictures.

As a result, we discover large and angular forms, with a front distinguished by the appearance of the upgraded “Digital Tiger Face” grille in place of the traditional “Tiger Nose” grille.

But we detect Y-shaped light clusters in the back. Further distinctive are the 20-inch alloy wheels with a unique aerodynamic design. The measurements, which shouldn’t be considerably different from those of the concept, which measured 4,930mm long by 2,055mm wide by 1,790mm high with a 3,100mm wheelbase, were not disclosed by Kia.

Naturally, the real automobile has some more traditional stylistic choices than the idea. For instance, there are no rear doors that open into the wind. Also, you can only see the conventional rearview mirrors and not the digital ones, which might be an option in the future.

The presence of three rows of seats ensures that the passenger area is spacious. The Kia EV9 can carry 6 or 7 passengers, depending on the configuration that is selected. So that passengers in the second row can converse with those in the third row, the seats in the second row are easily rotatable 180 degrees. The third row chairs also come with cup holders and outlets for charging mobile devices.

The electric SUV’s dashboard features a clean aesthetic. A lot of technology is also included, starting with the two 12.3-inch instrumentation panels and the infotainment system itself. About the technical details, we only know that the Kia EV9 is built on the E-GMP platform of the Hyundai Group, which supports an 800 V architecture and so enables very high power recharges. Hence, all that is left to do is wait until the end of March when the automaker will divulge all of this model’s secrets.
